Speaking of birds, I’ve suddenly become a grandma. I downloaded the Merlin Bird ID app and it’s delightful. We sit on the porch and see what birds are nearby!

That is something I wouldn’t have ever considered a few years ago but as I get older I find myself, when I see a bird, titling my head and feeling so curious about who they are. My parents stayed at an RV park in AZ last year and they had an area where all sorts of birds would come—and some where more tropical birds I’d never seen before and I couldn’t figure out why in the world they want to go to the dry heat of Arizona, but I sat there for over an hour. I surprised myself with how peaceful it felt.
